I was a Saregent & member of Co. 147 Ind. Vol. and was intimately acquanted with Enoch Scott who was a member of the same Co. & Reg.. I was with with comand continuously from April 1st 1865 until time of discharge, August 4th of same year during the latter part of the month of May and for part of June we were in camp near Summit Point, W.V. and at that time Comrade Scott had severe attacks of Diarrhoa, on diffrent occasions unfiting him for duty, at time of said attacks afterwards we moved ( on or about June 6th ) and went into camp nere Berryville W.V. afterwards we moved from there to Frederic City, Md. and from there Martinsburg, W.V. and finally to Harpers Ferry where we were mustered out on August 4th, 1865. My recollection is that during all that time Comrade Scott continued to have those attacks of Diarrhea as to Disease of eyes if I ever knew of his being afflicted in that way it has escaped my memory.
